Terms of Service

Last updated: July 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of NotaryPilot, a business-management application for mobile notaries and notary signing agents. By creating an account or using NotaryPilot, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

NotaryPilot helps you run your notary business — keeping signing records, tracking assignments and clients, creating invoices, logging mileage, and organizing income and expenses for tax purposes. Features vary by plan.

2. Accounts & Eligibility

You must be at least 18. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information, for keeping your credentials secure, and for all activity under your account.

3. Subscriptions, Billing & Cancellation

NotaryPilot offers a free plan, a Pro plan ($12/month or $99/year), and a Business plan ($29/month or $249/year); prices may change with notice. A free trial, where offered, automatically converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before it ends. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; billing is handled by Stripe via RevenueCat. You can cancel anytime — Pro access continues until the end of the current period. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable, including for partial periods.

4. Not Legal or Compliance Advice

NotaryPilot is a business-management tool. It is NOT a law firm and does not provide legal advice. State-specific fields and guidance are provided for convenience based on publicly available information and may not reflect current law. You are solely responsible for complying with the notary laws and recordkeeping rules of your jurisdiction — including whether an electronic journal is permitted at all. Some states, such as California, require a physical bound journal as the official record of commission; NotaryPilot is a business record and backup, not a substitute for your state-required journal. Verify your state's current requirements and consult your Secretary of State or a qualified attorney for authoritative guidance.

5. Your Data & Content

You own the business data you enter. You grant us a limited license to store and process it solely to operate the service for you. We do not sell your data. You are responsible for maintaining your own backups of records you are legally required to retain. See our Privacy Policy.

6. Acceptable Use & Intellectual Property

You agree not to misuse the service, breach its security, access other users' data, reverse-engineer the app, or use it unlawfully. NotaryPilot and its software, design, and branding are ours and protected by applicable laws.

7. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, NotaryPilot will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or lost profits or data; our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

8. Termination, Changes & Contact

You may stop using NotaryPilot and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms. We may update these Terms; continued use after changes means you accept them. These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the operator is established. Questions?
